About MECT

THE MECT It has been always been an ambition of some philanthropist of in and around of Alanallur area to start an institution of high standards. As a result of their continuous effort, they constituted a registered Trust namely Malabar Educational and Cultural Trust, an organisation with an aim of promoting education, culture and philosophy among the people of all religions and be of service to the mankind by developing brotherhood and establishing institutions for such purposes. As a first step towards this aim, MECT Public School came into existence in the year 2009 with a few students in KG classes. Within this short span of time the school reached the status of 8th standard with high quality education and educational facilities. MECT offers quality education modelled on modern pedagogy combined with moral instruction. The curricular and co-curricular activities are oriented towards the total personality development of students. In addition to secular education, the school provides socially useful and productive work experience to it’s students. Co-curricular activities, sports and games, literary competitions, arts etc get due importance in the curriculum. The syllabus followed by the school is that of CBSE and follows Montessori method of teaching in KG section. Student friendly campus, well equipped Labs, Library and Digital Classrooms are the special features of this school. MECT Public School gives ample emphasis on spoken English. Our motive is to encourage children to communicate in English from the KG itself so that by the time they reach standard III they would be fluent in English. In order to achieve the above goal we have professional and experienced teachers at MECT who will take action and help the students to achieve academic, sporting, cultural and life-long learning.
